Child Safety Standards

These Child Safety Standards apply to Giggles: Videos & Trends, the app published on Google Play by Giggles Platforms, Inc., as well as the Giggles iOS app and the Giggles websites (collectively, the “Services”). They are part of our Terms of Use and apply to every user of the Services.

Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

Giggles Platforms, Inc. has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (“CSAE”) in any form. We explicitly prohibit any content, conduct, or activity on the Services that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children. A “child” or “minor” means any person under the age of eighteen (18).

Prohibited content and conduct include, without limitation:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): creating, uploading, posting, sharing, requesting, or linking to any visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct involving a minor, whether real, altered, AI-generated, drawn, or otherwise simulated;
  • Sexualization of minors: any content that depicts, describes, encourages, or normalizes the sexualization of a minor, including sexualized commentary on content featuring minors;
  • Grooming: contacting or befriending a minor to facilitate sexual contact, abuse, or the production of sexual imagery, whether on or off the Services;
  • Sextortion: threatening or blackmailing a minor using real or alleged access to intimate images;
  • Trafficking and exploitation: advertising, soliciting, or facilitating child sexual trafficking or the commercial sexual exploitation of a minor; and
  • Predatory behavior: attempting to obtain sexual imagery from minors, arranging in-person meetings with minors for sexual purposes, or using the Services’ messaging, chat, comment, or gifting features for any of the above.

Enforcement

We remove violating content as soon as we become aware of it and permanently terminate the accounts involved. When we identify apparent CSAM on the Services, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement investigations as required by applicable law, including 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. We may also preserve related account information for law enforcement as the law requires.

Reporting in the App

Every user of Giggles: Videos & Trends can report content or accounts directly in the app: use Report on any post, comment, or profile, or block the user. Reports involving the safety of a minor are prioritized for review.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement first. You can also report child sexual exploitation to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org.

Age Requirements

You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to use the Services, and at least eighteen (18) to access features involving real money or digital assets, as described in our Terms of Use. Accounts belonging to users under 13 are removed, and associated personal information is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

Compliance with Child Safety Laws

Giggles Platforms, Inc. complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations in the regions where the Services are offered, including mandatory reporting obligations for child sexual abuse material.
